Dublin, CA 94568 | Dental Services > Technology (CEREC)Ceramic Reconstruction (CEREC)We are proud to announce the introduction of the CEREC 3D computer-controlled ceramic tooth reconstruction to complement our technologically advanced procedures. CEREC 3D represents a substantial investment into the practice offering our patients the very latest in accuracy, safety and time-saving automation.
Why CEREC?Our CEREC technology produces, for you, restorations that look great, feel great, and are more durable than composite resin. As always, they are mercury free and metal free. Ceramic Reconstruction Step-by-StepStep 1 - Defective filling is removed:The defective filling and decay is removed and a reflective powder layer is applied to prepare the tooth for imaging. Step 2 - Restoration is created:An optical 3D image is acquired with a small camera, directly in your mouth. The restoration is then created on the screen using the image data. Diamond coated instruments mill a ceramic block to reproduce the design. This is accomplished during a single appointment.
